Body-Enhancing Hair Care Products?
Friday, August 17th, 2007I was just wondering if anyone could suggest a few hair care products that 1) works well with black (”African American”) hair, and 2) will add extra body and shine. I am also wondering if any of you could share your night/day time hair care regimen with me.
Any answers you could provide will be greatly appreciated!
Ladies: Has anyone tried the new Bath & Body Works hair care products?
Saturday, May 20th, 2006Bath & Body Works has a new line of shampoo and conditioner – moisturizing and volumizing products in their most popular scents. I remember back in the day when Bath & Body wasn’t what it is now and they only had a few scents, in which they made shampoo and conditioner. I tried it, but it was terrible for my hair as it seemed more focused on the scent than the benefits to your hair. Just wondering if anyone had tried it and what your experiences were. Thanks!
African American Hair Care.seeking body and shine?
Saturday, March 25th, 2006My hair rests right above my shoulders (bob-like style with very slight layering). My natural hair type is 4A, but I get relaxer touch-up every 10 to 12 weeks.
My hair care regimen is as follows:
– Wash/condition once wkly (religiously!!!). On average, I go to the salon weekly, but I have to wash myself when my stylist is not available.
– Rollerwrap for styling
– Wrap in silk scarf nightly
– If I need a little moisturizer, I use Jane Carter Solution Nourish & Shine. (I **** greasy hair!!!)
My problem is that when I wash my hair at home, although I have body, it is very dry and dull looking. I cannot duplicate the shine I get from the salon. I use salon recommended shampoo/conditioner. I sit under my hooded dryer (when I have to wash it myself) and run a ceramic iron thru it mabye a 3 – 4 times a month. So I do not think I am using too much heat or doing anything damaging.
Any suggestions/feedback on how to obtain shiny, healthy hair at home?
