Why do you care about your body?

When a person dies…why do people care about the dead person’s body and about ceremonial and burial procedures. Why can’t we just feed it to an animal? The person isn’t in the body anymore, so they can’t feel it, it’s just a body. Don’t give me a emotion-based argument or response. I want a logical and well-explained and reasoned explanation.

WORTHLESSNESS- do you ever feel stupid when you say something or no body cares what you say?

What I mean is when I am around a large group of people I notice that I try to contribute to the conversation but when I do, people just start talking over me completing disregarding that I am talking. I notice people do that alot to me. am I a damn loser? its embarressing and makes me just want to isolate myself in large groups.
